Do you know the famous Marathon des châteaux du Médoc? Every year, at the beginning of September, from Pauillac, thousands of runners embark on this festive adventure above all! On the program, the race of course, but above all the crossing of famous castles of the Médoc vineyard, tastings, entertainment and laughter. Did you know that marathon runners wear disguises?
Wine Cab also wanted you to experience a marathon in the Médoc. And not just anyone either! You won’t need basketball and bib, don’t worry. Only your senses and your palate will be called upon for the occasion!

A circuit of choice in the heart of Médoc wines
Antoine Beucher and his London taxi will take you to the heart of the famous Médoc vineyard, to the châteaux of the Margaux appellation, to experience an offbeat and exceptional wine tour.
The AOC Margaux is unveiled: in the south of the Médoc, it is the only Haut-Médoc appellation to bear the name of Château Margaux, the first grand cru classé. Spread over 1400 hectares and 5 municipalities, it is one of the largest appellations of the Médoc and also one of the most prestigious.
Château Siran , Château Marquis de Terme, Château Prieuré Lichine , Château Desmirail , Château Haut Breton Larigaudière … so many Crus Bourgeois and Grands Crus Classés for a flavorful experience!

Start the marathon in a family property and start tasting red wine and rosé wine. Visit the technical installations and the cellars; admire a cellar dug in the basement by the monks in the 16th century where countless oak barrels age the red wine. Also pay attention to the explanations on the winemaking process.
Enjoy a lunch break in the castle park: a picnic is offered. It is an opportunity to taste local products and continue to taste the wines of the property.
The marathon continues in the afternoon; over a total of 6 hours, awaken your senses with red wines, rosé wines and white wines.
On the way back, to end on a sweet note, you will be served a white wine from the Entre-deux-Mers appellation, accompanied by the famous Bordeaux canelé. It’s more than an excursion: it’s a real immersion that you experience!
