Welcome to the Médoc! You are located north of Bordeaux, on an 80 km long strip of land, nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gironde estuary.

Discovery of castle life

You will have the opportunity to visit a Grand Cru Classé of 1855 and of course taste one of its cuvées.

You will also meet an authentic winegrower, unlike the wealthy and sometimes exuberant universe of the great châteaux. For the occasion, you will be welcomed into his family property and you will enjoy visiting the cellars and the cellar before tasting his production.

Activities on your wine route

You will appreciate the walks and the visits according to your route on the road of the castles of the Médoc. Your guide will teach you about the different grape varieties and their life cycle as well as the climatic conditions essential to the production of a quality wine. The vine is the treasure of this terroir and it is meticulously cared for throughout the year. Pruning, lifting, destemming and harvesting the grapes will no longer hold any secrets for you!

Also pierce the mysteries of wine making: from pressing to bottling and aging in the cellars, the castle guides will share all their knowledge about the production of Médoc wines with you.

Finally, enjoy a few tastings and try to recognize the different aromas. Scents of red or black fruits, spices, pepper or liquorice, notes of coffee, chocolate or caramel, enhanced with woody or toasted flavours: will you be able to detect them?
